Why not celebrate Mom’s beauty with the beauty of nature? The Pringle Nature Center has plenty to explore, including upland forest, wetlands, oak savanna remnants and prairies. Included with your Mother’s Day ticket are a light brunch and a naturalist-led hike to see the spring wildflowers in bloom around the nature center. 

Pre-registration is required. Event: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens Mother’s Day Concert – Madison

The Olbrich Botanical Gardens was voted one of the most inspiring gardens in North America by Horticulture Magazine. It features 16 acres of outdoor display gardens, as well as innovative tropical gardens, a rose garden, and much more.

Take your mom for a stroll through the beautiful spring blooms and the tropical environment of the Bolz Conservatory. You won’t want to miss the New Horizons Concert Band at 2 p.m. in the Evjue Commons. The suggested admission donation to the concert is $2.

Great Dane Pub’s Mother’s Day Brunch – Wausau

If you haven’t tried Wausau’s Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company, their annual Mother’s Day Brunch is the perfect time. The Great Dane offers a wide variety of award-winning ales and lagers, sure to impress any beer drinker, as well as a fun atmosphere. All mothers receive a complimentary mimosa or beer. Reservations are recommended. 

Children’s Museum of La Crosse

Enjoy a family day at the region’s only hands-on learning environment. Play on three floors with interactive exhibits and related programs. Mothers get in for free on their special holiday. Regular admission is $7 per person, $6 on Sundays.
