A great swimming and picnicking area can be found just 2.5 miles from downtown Boulder Junction. If you decide to bike to the beach, you can follow the Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail west of downtown Boulder Junction to Nichols Lake Lane.

Location: From Boulder Junction, follow Hwy K west, turn left on Hwy H and then left onto Nichols Lake Lane. Nichols Lake Lane will dead end at the parking area for the beach.
