Thunder Lake State Wildlife Area
2,700 acres of sedge meadow, barrens, bog lakes and tamarack forest. This area is large, wild and filled with interesting birds. Known as a hotspot for birds, three rare species nest here, the Nelson sharp-tailed sparrow, merlin, and the yellow rail.
