Road to Fall Fun Wrap-Up

That’s a wrap! Thanks to everyone that participated in TravelWisconsin’s first ever Road to Fall Fun Scavenger Hunt! Over the past five weeks, you’ve scoured some of Wisconsin’s most beloved parks in search of some fantastic prize packages. We hope you enjoyed the hunt and were able to witness the gorgeous fall color this season!

Many of you followed the clues to the correct locations, but only the quickest of the bunch were able to claim the prizes for themselves. Check out our winners and how they found their treasure:

Wisconsin Wanderer

Chelsea B.

Chelsea B. and her fiancé Matthew discovered the first Wizard-of-Oz themed picnic basket nestled beneath one of the beautiful waterfalls near Potato River Falls. With a brand new tent, sleeping bags and hiking backpack, these two will be prepared for many Wisconsin getaways to come. “We’re looking forward to spending a lot more time at state parks next year!”

Wisconsin Trailblazer

Charles S.

Charles S. was the second winner of the scavenger hunt after searching far and wide at Nine Mile County Forest. He discovered the Wisconsin Trailblazer prize after a determined search of the forest and its biking trails. Being later in the day, he thought, “being so late in the day, someone would have already found it!” As an avid cyclist, Charles is now the proud owner of a brand new Trek bicycle, Giro helmet, insulated water bottle, and more.

Wisconsin Paddler

Tom and Barb W. opened the “door” to fall fun and became the third winners of the hunt. The Wisconsin Paddler prize was hidden at Cave Point County Park in Door County and included a new Lifetime Tamarack kayak, paddle, helmet and other kayaking gear that Tom and Barb will be able to add to their growing collection.

Wisconsin Angler

Doug and Terri R. from Kendall, WI were the fourth winners of the Travel Wisconsin Road to Fall Fun Scavenger Hunt, finding the prize just hours after the clue was posted. After a thorough search through Sidie Hollow County Park, they emerged with a brand new fishing rod and reel, tackle box and even a guided fishing excursion.

Wisconsin Fanatic

Nell D.

Nell D’s “Go Pack Go!” sweater must have been the good luck charm she needed to find the most sought after prize of all! The final clue led Nell straight to the stunning Bluff Vista trail in Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve in Grafton. “I feel so lucky and blessed to be able to go to a Packers game at Lambeau this year and meet Jordy Nelson!” In addition to game tickets and a meet & greet, this Packer super-fan is now the proud owner of replica ruby cleats autographed by Jordy Nelson and even more autographed Packers memorabilia.

Once again, thank you to each and every person who participated in the Road to Fall Fun Scavenger Hunt this year! And don’t forget, just because the hunt is over doesn’t mean there isn’t more fall fun to be had.
