Music at the Mitchell Park Domes

Walk through a tropical jungle and a desert oasis, all in Wisconsin. The newly remodeled Mitchell Park Domes are one of Milwaukee’s best kept secrets!

Experience the ultimate in nature at the “the domes.” This horticulture conservatory – the only complex of its kind on earth – consists of three separate domes that resemble green-houses and are home to a world-wide variety of plant collections. You can literally travel from the arid deserts of Africa to the tropical regions of South America in a matter of seconds!

Some of the environments you’ll see at the Model Railroad Show at the Domes.

Aside from the year-round educational appeal, the domes offer seasonal attractions including concerts, festivals and exhibits. Every Thursday night through March, experience “Music Under Glass” – a live music performance in the show dome complete with a light show during breaks. And later this month enjoy “Restaurants Under Glass” – an a la carte type event that brings some of Milwaukee’s best restaurants to one convenient location. To top it off, the Model Railroad Show comes to the domes this month as well. See G-scale trains travel through model landscapes and chat with train hobbyists on hand to answer all your questions!

With such a range of events the domes are the perfect winter excursion for family or couples alike!
