Great Lakes Distillery is a small-batch distillery located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We hand craft award-winning distilled spirits in limited quantities using old world methods and traditions. Great Lakes Distillery is the first distillery to open in Wisconsin since Prohibition. Our spirits have "a little Wisconsin" in every drop. When possible we go to every length to use local ingredients to make local craft spirits. This "Grain-to-glass" process brings truly unique local flavor to each spirit. Our award-winning Gin uses botanicals from central Wisconsin, our Cranberry Liqueur uses cranberries from central Wisconsin bogs, our whiskey is made with grain from Dodge County and is milled by hand in Jackson, WI. We are anxious to share our unique products and look forward to meeting people who appreciate high quality craft distilled spirits. Come tour our distillery when you're in Milwaukee.

Green Innovations

  • The Distillery was able to obtain permission from the federal government (the only distillery to do so) to reuse their product bottles. They encourage customers to return bottles, they are cleaned and refilled.
  • Packaging that comes in with raw materials is reused in the final product packing.
  • The Distillery purchases local cured meats, honey and soda from local sources.
