Fishtrap Cove Resort
Fishtrap Cove Resort has seven modern housekeeping cabins, some of which are open in the winter season. There are boat and motor rentals available for resort guests. If you bring your boat, there is a pier to dock it at. A swim area with a raft is located directly in front of the Lodge and next to the main pier.
The resort is surrounded by 50 acres with a few seasonal neighbors and the Chequamegon National Forest to the north. The lake has very few developed areas along its shoreline. There are a few houses on the southern end of the lake. Otherwise, it is mostly wild and natural. If you are looking for a good, quiet fishing lake, then this would be the spot for you.
As for wildlife, you might just see anything throughout the year: deer wandering by, a hungry black bear checking out the dumpster, or you might catch a glimpse of a bobcat, fox, fisher, or coyote. Beaver, mink, and otter can be seen swimming and scampering about the lake's shoreline. As for birds, they are too numerous to list them all. The clear night skies are shimmering with stars, and occasionally, the "northern lights" put on an amazing show.
Whether you are looking to relax, fish, hunt, or ride the trails, you will have a memorable Northwoods experience at Fishtrap Cove Resort.
