Lake of the Pines Campground
Open April 15 – December 15. Located on Lake of the Pines (273-acres, motorized, musky, northern pike, walleye, panfish-especially crappie); 30 rustic campsites with fire rings and picnic tables; fee required; no reservations – first come, first served; tents, trailers, and RVs up to 45+ feet; dump station nearby, mid-April through mid-October; drinking water; vault toilets, boat landing, swimming area, nature trail; near the Connors Lake Picnic Area (boat landing & shallow swimming area), North Fork of the Flambeau River (canoe/kayak), Little Falls/Slough Gundy scenic area, Flambeau Hills Trail (hike/mountain bike), and multi-use Flambeau River State Forest Trail (allows ATVs and UTVs up to 65 inches May 15 – Nov. 15). 22 miles of hiking, biking and cross-country skiing trails, 38 miles of ATV trails, 55 miles of snowmobile trails, and 35 canoe campsites located along the North Fork of the Flambeau River. Maximum 20 night stay. Winter camping - plowed roads to 15 sites until December 15th; vault toilets and drinking water - hand pump.
