Nekoosa
Derived from the Ho Chunk word for “running water,” Nekoosa is located near the geographic center of the state along the Wisconsin River. Paper making has long been the dominant industry. Nekoosa is also home to the annual Nekoosa GIANT Pumpkin Fest. In addition to weigh-ins for large fall produce, visitors can enjoy crafts, a flea market, games, a car show, and a farmers market.
