The Duerst Guest House is a comfortable home that has been transformed into a cozy, quaint get-away where family and friends can stay for a night, weekend or extended stays. It was built in 1914 by John W. Duerst, a Swiss farmer. This large brick house features original oak trim and floors. The foyer and upstairs bathroom still have the original inlaid ceramic tile. Current owners are descendant of the original builder and are proud to carry on this treasure. A visit to the beautiful rolling hills of New Glarus and surrounding area will beckon you to return.
