The West Torch Ski Trail is a narrow classic trail. The two short loops are suitable for beginner or novice skiers. The terrain is flat to gently rolling. The eastern portion of the 5.9 and 8.1 Km loops traverse a somewhat steeper hill and provides more excitement. The trail system is groomed and track is set when snow conditions permit.
Groomed for classical only. Generally flat and easy. Snowshoeing is allowed. Parking. Food and lodging nearby.
Directions: From the intersection of State Highway 77 and County Highway GG east of Clam Lake, drive south on County Highway GG 2.5 miles to the trailhead. The parking lot is located on the left (east) side of the road.
