Granite Peak Ski Area
Following the largest expansion in the midwest ever, Granite Peak is bringing Midwest skiing and snowboarding to new heights, with a 700-foot vertical drop; 74 runs to challenge every skill level; and state-of-the-art snowmaking and lifts, including Granite Peak's high-speed, 4-person Dasher and 6-person Comet Express -- the Midwest's longest and highest. Granite Peak also has outstanding snowboard facilities including jumps, and terrain features. At base level is Granite Peak's new, 10,000 square-foot Sundance Chalet and Grill; and the restored and renamed historic 10th Mountain Chalet. Granite Peak also has a new Alpine Learning Center and Ticket Building; Mountain Rental Shop featuring 1,500 Salomon and Rossignol skis and snowboards; a new Peak Performance Demo and Tuning Center; and the Granite Ski and Sports shop featuring Salomon and Volkl skis, plus brand-name apparel, shirts, sweatshirts, fleeces, and jackets. Ever wondered what it would look like up here in the fall? Now you can with the Fall Chairlift Rides held 3 weekends in the fall. We do not offer snow tubing.
