Granite Peak Ski Area is Wisconsin’s largest and most legendary ski resort. The mountain offers 225 acres of skiable terrain, including 55 trails, four terrain parks, and seven designated glade areas, all of which are served by seven chairlifts. Including the state’s only six-person lift and two conveyor belt carpets. Which means guests spend more time on the slopes and less time in line.

On-mountain dining options include the Sundance Chalet, featuring grab-and-go meals and a full bar, and the Historic Chalet, offering sit-down dining with live music on weekends.

From late September through mid-October, Rib Mountain State Park comes alive with brilliant autumn colors. Take a scenic chairlift ride to the summit, explore the park’s trails, or climb the observation tower for sweeping fall views of central Wisconsin.

Just minutes from downtown Wausau, Granite Peak blends big-mountain skiing with an authentic ski town atmosphere, complete with lodging, restaurants, nightlife, and family-friendly activities.
