About this Event
Celebrate Wisconsin’s state tree at the 12th Annual Maple Festival at the Simek Recreation Center in Medford. Hosted by the Taylor County Lions, this lively spring tradition showcases the many uses and beauty of the Sugar Maple, from pure maple syrup and maple inspired foods to handcrafted wood products and forestry education. Surrounded by the Sugar Maples of the Chequamegon National Forest and the region’s well known sugar shacks, the festival highlights Taylor County’s rich maple heritage.
Guests can enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast topped with pure maple syrup, browse maple themed goods from local crafters, and experience maple syrup judging and cooking demonstrations. Additional highlights include sugar shack tours, live music, chainsaw carving demonstrations, and a free children’s bike drawing, along with the giveaway of 500 Sugar Maple trees
