Art Infusion

This annual celebration features guest artists creating large scale wall murals, a chalk art competition for all skill levels and ages and featured chalk artists, tours, exhibits, and more. Come down to the river walk, see the beautiful drawings, and chat with artists.

The theme in 2026 is America 250: Janesville's Rich Tapestry, and chalk artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from Janesville's indigenous heritage, the Rock River, the city's agricultural and manufacturing legacy, native Wisconsin wildlife, historic Janesville landmarks, and the history makers who built Janesville into the community it is today. New this year, Tattoo Competition Week provides an opportunity for local tattoo shops to get in on the fun, with flash events, walk-in opportunities and specials, plus a People's Choice winner from eligible new tattoos.

While downtown on Saturday morning, visit the Janesville Farmers Market in Town Square and shop the Downtown Sidewalk Sale along Main and Milwaukee Streets from 10 AM to 3 PM. The Janesville Art League opens the doors of the Janesville Woman's Club on Saturday & Sunday, noon to 4 PM. On Sunday, Roaming Rich will lead a free 1 PM walking tour of some of the 60+ pieces downtown artwork and architectural highlights.
