Experience the Magic of "Cave of Lights." As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, Cave of the Mounds invites you to celebrate the season underground. Experience the magic of the holidays like never before, with beautiful light displays illuminating parts of the cave’s unique formations. The highlight of the event will be the breathtaking High Tunnel, where twinkling lights will cascade down from the high ceiling, creating the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable holiday photo.
"Cave of Lights" offers a delightful escape from the cold winter weather, with its constant 50-degree temperature creating a cozy, comfortable environment for visitors of all ages.
This enchanting experience will be part of every cave tour in December & January, offering the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of Cave of the Mounds while enjoying a festive twist. Tours will run daily from 9 AM to 5 PM, with the last entry at 4 PM. Please note that Cave of the Mounds will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
