Chequamegon Mountain Bike Festival

The adventure begins. Join thousands of off-road enthusiasts for the 40th edition of Chequamegon MTB Festival in the big woods of northwestern Wisconsin. The revered off-road experience doesn’t end with the races. Gather your friends and family for a weekend of live music, craft beer and savory food truck eats. This year’s event features a restructured course, a pro-style start and little loggers race.

The Chequamegon 40 travels from downtown Hayward, WI over the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail and along picturesque trails of varying terrain finishing at the Great Hall in Cable, WI.

Short & Fat 16-mile event has all the same challenges of the 40 jam packed into a bite sized version! Shorter than the headliner race, the Short & Fat starts and ends in Cable, Wisconsin, traversing a variety of off-road trails before circling back to the finish line.
