In early 2018, the walls of the Paine’s Main Gallery will be filled with a “Salon-style” exhibition of exceptional artworks from the collections of the Paine and local institutions. With dozens of European and American paintings hung closely together, this type of abundant display would have been popular in the early twentieth century when founders Nathan and Jessie Kimberly Paine were collecting art.
