Bayfield Apple Festival 2023: October 6, 7, 8  

2023 marks the 61st year of Bayfield's staple festival and we are planning some exciting activities!  

This three-day festival is held annually and kicks off the first Friday in October. It's the perfect time to come to Bayfield to see the fall colors and take home some Wisconsin-grown apples. Pick them yourself or buy a bag at one of the seven apple orchards.  

Special events include the coronation of the Apple Festival Queen, who is chosen from Bayfield's Orchard families, an apple peeling contest and the Grand Parade on Sunday afternoon.  

The Bayfield Chamber & Visitors Bureau invites you to “Wisconsin’s Best Festivals,” coined by Wisconsin Trails Magazine.  In 2022, the BCVB added two music venues to the festivities. We had Big Top Chautauqua's Blue Canvas Orchestra at the Grandstand Stage and Concerts by the Lake at Memorial Park in Downtown Bayfield featuring local artists.    

61 years as one of Wisconsin’s premiere festivals, located on the shores of Lake Superior in Bayfield, Wisconsin, which is honored by the Chicago Tribune as the Best Little Town in the Midwest and Smithsonian Magazine as one of America’s Best Small Towns.
