New Year's Eve Fireworks & Cherry Drop in Sister Bay

Sister Bay is home to Door County’s only New Year’s fireworks show! Held at the Sister Bay Ice Rink. For fireworks viewing from your car, park on Woodcrest Road or Autumn Court. The Warming House will be open and selling concessions and bonfire wards off the winter air. Afterwards head to downtown Sister Bay for the Annual Sparkling Cherry Drop at midnight! The 2nd Annual Cherry Drop will be a New Year's Eve celebration located in the Village of Sister Bay. It is fashioned after the time-honored tradition of New York's Times Square Ball Drop. As we count down to midnight, we drop a 7-foot round, 300 pound, brightly lit red cherry to welcome in the new year with cheers, songs and New Year's kisses.
