Fire in the Shire in Alma on June 7th

Visit Alma for Castlerock Museum’s annual Fire in the Shire, a citywide celebration of all things medieval. This immersive event features a variety of live demonstrations, reenactments, performances, and interactive experiences that bring the Middle Ages to life.

Visitors can enjoy thrilling acts like fire breathing, sword swallowing, historical combat demonstrations, and living history displays. Renaissance performers, musicians, and belly dancers add to the festive atmosphere throughout the day.

Families and medieval enthusiasts will find plenty to explore, including artisan vendors, themed activities, and a quest to find the fabled “Holy Grail” hidden among local shops, with a chance to win prizes.
