Fountain City "After Dark" Walking Tour

When the sun goes down, Fountain City has different stories to tell. As part of The Corner Store’s Fall Walking Tour Series, join local historian and tour guide Lacey Korb for a one-hour guided walk through the darker side of Fountain City’s past.

Along the way, we’ll uncover stories of tragedy and loss, bordellos, the 1948 plane crash, unexplained happenings and local ghost stories, and the complicated lives of people who called Fountain City home. These are the strange, scandalous, haunting, and sometimes tragic stories that don’t always make it into the history books.

The tour includes approximately one hour of outdoor walking through Fountain City, including hills, stairs, and uneven surfaces. Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes. Fountain City After Dark explores mature themes and some darker chapters of local history. Parental discretion is encouraged for younger guests. Our stories are based on both documented history and local folklore.
