About this Event
Expect vocal fireworks and the joy of musical collaboration as soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo-soprano Daveda Karanas, and collaborative pianist Alan Darling take the Green Lake Festival of Music stage for a free performance. Majeski and Karanas memorably co-starred in The Passenger at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and all three artists bring a wealth of experience, artistry and mutual understanding to their performance. A pre-concert talk with the performers begins at 7:00 p.m.
This appearance reflects deep artistic connections. As departing Artistic & Executive Director Sam Handley notes, “Daveda Karanas and collaborative pianist Alan Darling. Majeski and Karanas memorably co-starred in The Passenger at Lyric Opera of Chicago, and all three artists share deep professional ties with one another and with me.” Their long-standing professional relationships and shared musical history ensure a performance marked by nuance, expressive power and the unmistakable energy of colleagues and friends making music together.
A limited number of courtesy seats are available for this performance. If you are traveling a significant distance or have specific needs, you’re welcome to reach out in advance at donna@greenlakefestival.org. Courtesy seating is held until 10 minutes before the performance in a designated section, after which it is released to general admission. All other seating remains first-come, first-served.
