Friday Jazz Series at Tandem Press

Enjoy live performances by students from the UW-Madison Mead Witter School of Music Jazz Program. All concerts in the series take place Tandem Press and are free and open to the public. The gallery and printmaking studio will be open during each performance for attendees to view exhibitions and have a first-hand look at collaborative printmaking projects with world-renowned contemporary artists.

Friday, November 6, 2026: Jazz Composers’ Group (dir. Aruṇ Lūthrā) and the Blue Note Ensemble (dir. Johannes Wallmann)

Friday, February 19, 2027: Bridge Ensemble (dir: Kathryn Schulmeister) and the Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble (dir. Nick Moran)

Friday, April 30, 2027: Jazz Standards Ensemble (dir. Aruṇ Lūthrā)

*Please note that concerts take place on the second floor of Tandem Press, which is only accessible by a staircase. Tandem’s ground-floor gallery and studio are wheelchair accessible. A TV with a live stream is set up in the studio during each concert for visitors who are not able to access the second floor of the building.
