American Legion State Headquarters in Portage will be celebrating 100 years with activities at Veteran’s Memorial Field. (Columbia County Fairgrounds)
The Legion will be celebrating during the week by bringing veterans and their families, veteran service organizations, firefighters, police officers, EMT’s and Wisconsin residents together to celebrate our freedom, honor those who have and continue to service and teach others about the importance of patriotism and freedom.
American Legion Riders will escort the Tribute Wall to Veteran's Memorial Field on September 4. Public viewing is available 24 hours a day beginning mid-day on September 5 thru September 8 at 3 p.m.
Friday: Singer and Songwriter Chris Kroeze from Barron County and 2018 The Voice contestant connects with both the hearts and minds of audiences across various generations through his genuine country soul and his unique vocal delivery.
Other activities include: vendor fair Saturday, cornhole/kickball/softball, Combat-to-Construction Display, - Special Programming: Ho-Chunk Nation, American Legion Riders, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, American Legion Posts & Department, food and more!
