Lazy Beaver Canoe & Kayak Race

The Reedsburg Kiwanis is sponsoring the 25th annual Lazy Beaver Canoe and Kayak Race on the Baraboo River. The race’s starting point is in LaValle on the south side of the river, east of the Highway 58 bridge. The finish line is the Granite Avenue boat landing in Reedsburg, where the awards ceremony and post-race picnic are also held. Paddlers are released at timed intervals to space out paddlers on the river, which is narrow in many spots.
