Chequamegon Mountain Bike Festival

The adventure begins. Join thousands of off-road enthusiasts for the Chequamegon MTB Festival in the big woods of northwestern Wisconsin. The revered off-road experience doesn’t end with the races. Gather your friends and family for a weekend of live music, craft beer and savory food truck eats. This year’s event features stein holding competitions, pretzel necklaces, keg barrel bowling, and a dog costume contest.

Friday Race:

Little Loggers is for our mountain bikers in training. We offer a 15-minute continuous-loop course that introduces kids to the basics of mountain biking.

Saturday Races:

The Chequamegon 40 travels from downtown Hayward, WI, over the famed American Birkebeiner Ski Trail and along picturesque trails of varying terrain, finishing at the Great Hall in Cable, WI.

The Short & Fat 16-mile event has all the same challenges as the 40, jam-packed into a bite-sized version! Shorter than the headliner race, the Short & Fat starts and ends in Cable, Wisconsin, traversing a variety of off-road trails before circling back to the finish line.
