Audiences describe this dramatic performance, complete with special effects, as sometimes frightening and totally captivating. Known as the father of the mystery genre, Edgar Allan Poe’s stories, novels, and poetry have haunted readers and audiences for more than 150 years. In this solo production, the “author himself” brings his most famous stories to life right before your eyes.  Listen as Poe describes the beat of the Tell Tale Heart, or the pounding on the wall in The Cask of Amontillado, and of course the screech of “Nevermore” in his most famous work, The Raven.  Full of mystery and fright, An Evening Dark and Dreary is an ideal performance for anyone who enjoys dramatic theatre. This production features strobe lights, fog, loud noises and is recommended for audiences 8 & up.
