Fish for Kids is back! The 2021 event will mark the 18th Fish for Kids Fishing Workshop. At the event, children go through various skill stations for casting and knot tying lessons, casting contests, fishing arts and crafts, aquatic invasive species lessons, fish identification games, and minnow races. Participants also receive a talk for a local professional fisherman and get to fish from shore with volunteers and parents to catch real, live fish!

Every child in the events gets to pick out and keep their very own fishing pole and tackle box! Those attending also receive a free Fish for Kids hat and snacks. It is truly a day of fun & learning-all in an effort to make the event a small impact on the lives of these kids. Most of these children will pick up a fishing pole for the very first time.
