CANCELLED MSO CONCERT

John DeMain leads the Madison Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with Director Beverly Taylor of the Madison Symphony Chorus to stage the Dvorák Requiem. The production features Soprano Ann Toomey, Mezzo-Soprano Julie Miller, Tenor Eric Barry, and Bass Matt Boehler. Composed at the peak of Dvorák’s career, this colossal masterpiece comprises thirteen movements and two parts traditionally separated by an intermission. With a quartet of solo singers in addition to an enormous choir and standard orchestra complete with brass and percussion, it is safe to say the Requiem is a profound expression of Dvorák’s genius.

Student rush tickets are available for $15-20 at the Overture Center Box Office on the day of the concert.
