Join us for a free, family-oriented environmental education event featuring activities for all ages!
Learn about native plants, trees, and shrubs; dragonflies; cranes; pollinators; small wild animals; history of area; climate change and other nature and sustainable topics.
Activities include:
-Prairie and birding hikes
-Yoga in the prairie
-16 Environmental education booths
-3 Nature-inspired artist booths including butterfly and dragonfly themed gifts/decor, hand-carved birds and mystical gnome houses, and other hand-painted nature-inspired drawings/crafts
-Bakery and beverages to purchase
-Pop-up talks about dragonflies and native trees & shrubs
-Kids arts and crafts including prairie hats, paper tambourines,& Backyard Bug Activity book (supplies limited)
-Face painting
-Live acoustic music
Prairie hat parade at noon. Show off your prairie hat creativity!
