Syttende Mai Festival

Stoughton hosts Syttende Mai Festival, America’s largest celebration of Norwegian Constitution Day. Visitors can experience a vibrant parade, traditional folk dancing, and impressive displays of Norwegian arts and crafts, including rosemaling, Hardanger embroidery, and quilt exhibits. The festival also features authentic Norwegian food, lively canoe races, and a variety of competitions and activities. Highlights include the Syttende Mai Classic Runs and Walks, the Viking Games Strongman Competition, and a Norwegian bunad style show celebrating traditional dress.
