About this Event
A trivial comedy for serious people, "The Importance of Being Earnest" will run September 5 through 21, 2025 at the Racine Theatre Guild. Jack Worthing resides in the country. Algernon Moncrieff in the city. Yet, they each have created a fake person to escape their lives. Jack pretends to be his philandering brother, Ernest, and Algernon has a sickly friend, Bunbury, on the cusp of death. Living a double life does have its drawbacks, especially in love as they find themselves caught in a charade to impress two ladies. The witty dialogue, romantic notions, and ridiculous charm create a masterful comedy that will woo you from the very start!
