About Institute Saloon
Good food, cool drinks, and a great crowd! The Institute saloon stands on a pie-shaped piece of land abutting State Highway 57 and County Highway P in the heart of downtown Institute, eight miles north of Sturgeon Bay. It was built by John Wester Sr. in 1897 and, like other centrally located buildings of that age, served as a post office until free rural delivery was initiated.
