There are more than nine miles of hiking trails in the park that offer many opportunities for viewing the spectacular scenery and natural attributes of the park. Interstate is also home to the western terminus of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The Ice Age Trail includes various portions of other forest trails. Guided hikes within the park are offered during the summer months. Pets must be on a leash 8 feet or shorter at all times. Hiking trails vary in difficulty. Not all trails are surfaced; use caution on steep bluffs and near cliffs. Trail surfaces can become slippery when wet, leaf-covered or where there is loose gravel. A vehicle admission sticker is required to visit state park system properties which can be purchased online or onsite.
Condition descriptions for this trail are currently informed by the DNR Property Condition Notices map. When no alerts are active, trails are rated in fair condition. Throughout the season, please use caution after weather events and consider refraining from using the trail if leaving ruts in the surface, as deep footprints and can impact the long-term smoothness of the trail.
