Nelson Dewey State Park overlooks the Mississippi River from a 500-foot bluff. At this park combine your interest in history with your enjoyment of the outdoors. The park's five trails are all less than a mile but offer a variety of scenery. Several trails in the park offer great views of the Mississippi River valley. The park, named for Wisconsin’s first governor, Nelson Dewey, offers a rich history, featuring the Dewey home and the nearby Stonefield Historic site. A vehicle admission sticker is required to visit state park system properties which can be purchased online or onsite.
Condition descriptions for this trail are currently informed by the DNR Property Condition Notices map. When no alerts are active, trails are rated in fair condition.
