Nestled in the wooded, glacial hills of Washburn County, Hunt Hill is one of northern Wisconsin’s most beautiful and diverse natural areas. Nearly 13 miles of trails explore the 600 acres of majestic forests, meadow, bogs, and pristine glacial lakes, our Audubon Sanctuary offers an ideal setting to experience nature. Trails are free and open to the public during daylight hours. Dogs are allowed on the trails as long as they are on a leash and all waste is picked up and packed out. Horses, bikes, and ATVs are not allowed on the trails. The Discovery Trail (labeled Barred Owl Trail on trail maps) is a great experience for families. Each month, 8-15 themed items are hidden along this 1/3 mile trail. See how many items you can find! Share a selfie on social media using #HuntHill to be entered into the monthly giveaway!
