Trail Description
The Gartzke Flowage Recreation Area offers 8-miles of very scenic trail that traverse through a Norway Pine plantation, upland hardwood, and cedar swamps along the flowage. Depending upon rain, the cedar swamp conditions will normally be easily navigated in the summer. Several spring seeps dot the landscape and add to the natural beauty of the area. Trails are great for hiking in the spring, summer, and fall. The trail is located entirely on Langlade County property east of Antigo. Amenities include restrooms, shelter, and picnic tables.
