RESERVATIONS ONLY. Stonefield is open for in-person, reservation-based self-guided tours July 10 through September 20, 2020!

Located on the Great River Road at the foot of towering bluffs atop Nelson Dewey State Park, Stonefield includes a re-created 1900s rural village. It is also home to the State Agricultural Museum, which documents the story of Wisconsin's agricultural growth and development, and the homesite of Wisconsin's first governor Nelson Dewey.

Green Innovations

  • Compostable materials are used instead of plastic.
  • When appliances and equipment are replaced, the organization makes the commitment to purchase or lease them with ENERGY STAR qualified appliances and equipment.
  • Computers, monitors, printers, photocopiers, and other small appliances such as coffee machines are turned off when not in use.
  • Organization coordinates with local agri-tourism organizations, such as wineries and orchards, to offer tours and site visits.
