Iverson Park

Iverson Park is one of Stevens Point's oldest and largest parks. In addition to the Green Circle Trail, which travels through the park, it offers a multitude of uses throughout the year. The park has a large playground, restrooms, picnic areas, beach, lodges, picnic shelters and a baseball diamond. The nature trails in the park are great for walking, running, and lend itself well to viewing more than 200 species on its bird list. Iverson Park is a great place to explore for an urban wildlife experience. The winter facilities are tucked away in scenic Iverson Park, The park consists of: groomed and tracked 2.5 mile cross-country ski trail, two 300-foot-long toboggan slides, three sled and saucer hills, One hill specifically for kids six years and younger and one snowboarding hill an outdoor skating rink and a warming house.

Hours of Operation

Park is open seven days a week sunrise to sundown. For sledding, when conditions permit: Fridays: 6pm-9pm, Saturdays: Noon-8pm, Sundays: Noon-5pm.


From Highway 66, turn south at the lights onto Sunset Avenue (you'll see Walgreens on the north side of this intersection). Drive four blocks south and Sunset will end at Hillcrest Drive. Turn left (east) on Hillcrest Drive and in four and a half blocks.
