60 acres within the park has been named a State Scientific Area, preserving valuable plant communities, teaching conservation practices and studying the area's natural history. Trails wind through this area giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy it. Facilities include shelters, electricity, parking, water, toilets, volleyball courts, group camp sites, tennis court, swimming beach, hiking, nature study, & x-country skiing. Camp sites for either tents or RVs are available to reserve online.
