Welcome to Florence County. We are the perfect balance of pristine nature and necessary amenities. We are surrounded by 265 lakes and 165 miles of rivers and streams. Most notably the Pine and Popple rivers which have been designated "Wild" in the state of Wisconsin. Kayaking and canoeing these rivers plus the Brule and Menominee are a great adventure for beginners or advanced paddlers. Our County in Northern Wisconsin has many fishing and hunting opportunities with over 200,000 acres of public land.
