Of course we can’t talk about Wisconsin without talking beer—especially New Glarus. Known most notably for their farmhouse ale, Spotted Cow, New Glarus Brewing Company was founded by Deb Carey and Master Brewer Daniel Carey. As a midsized brewery, New Glarus Brewing creates various limited-quantity and seasonal beers and distributes exclusively within Wisconsin. Dan and Deb value quality and hard work, and their innovative brews reflect their love for beer tradition. At the 32nd Annual Great American Beer Festival in 2013, hosted in Denver, CO, New Glarus’ “American Blackberry Sour Ale” won the gold medal for the Belgian-Style Limbic or Sour Ale category.
