About Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary
Perched atop a glacial hill, the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Help of Christians at Holy Hill, welcomes more than 500,000 people each year. Many come to admire the church’s stunning neo-Romanesque architecture, completed in 1926, while others visit for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal.
The Scenic Tower offers another way to experience Holy Hill, with 178 steps leading to a height of 192 feet and sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Whether exploring the historic basilica, walking the peaceful grounds, or making a pilgrimage, Holy Hill is a memorable destination in the Kettle Moraine area.
