The Oulu Cultural & Heritage Center, in partnership with the Oulu chapter of the Bayfield County Historical Society exists as a way of preserving and sharing the unique immigrant history and culture of the town of Oulu and the surrounding area with exhibits, archives, events, and pioneer skill demonstrations.

At the Heritage Center a volunteer docent will take you on a guided tour of the original Palo homestead buildings, a large log home known as the Pudas House, the former Northern Co-op Store, the Fairview one-room school house, and an authentic Finnish savu sauna (smoke sauna).

These buildings have been renovated and are waiting for you to visit this summer and experience the rich history of our area.
