Paine Art Center and Gardens
Explore an English-inspired country estate featuring a historic 1920s mansion as the centerpiece. Along the way, you’ll discover an impressive collection of French Barbizon and American landscape artworks, four acres of flourishing botanical gardens, incredible architecture and woodwork, and major exhibitions that change throughout the year.
August 1-October 26, 2025, see the historic estate transformed into a spectacular showcase of illuminated sculptures and environments with The Nature of Light, an immersive, nighttime experience harmonizing light, art, and nature. First presented in 2022, The Nature of Light is a collaboration between the Paine, artists HYBYCOZO, and lighting design firm Lightswitch. It features dozens of sculptures by HYBYCOZO along with hundreds of lights and lasers, each of which is individually programmed to create an all-encompassing, immersive experience customized specifically to the Paine estate.
