The Pioneer Log Village is an educational representation of early Reedsburg and the immediate Sauk County area. It consists of nine original log cabins, some having been moved intact from the area and others rebuilt from the original logs. Three pioneer homes, an 1873 one-room school, 1873 Town of Willow log church, general store and post office, a library and the blacksmith shop, plus a large apothecary garden tended by the Sauk County Master Gardeners make up the Village.

Three large museum buildings house artifacts, relics and treasures from local early settlers spanning time from ancient native peoples to the 1950’s. Vintage clothing, industries, cameras, medical, dental and pharmacy, Clare Briggs, radios, domestic chores to military history from nearly all wars is found in the museum buildings. A machine shed shelters the huge farm machinery from the turn of the century.

The famous Chicken BBQ is held the weekend of Memorial Day. Heritage Day comes in September each year and is a living history event. Special events will pop-up all through the summer, from concerts on the lawn to a working blacksmith.
