Adventure awaits in Langlade County! The Langlade County's West Evergreen Off-Highway Motor Vehicle (OHMV) Trails for off-road trucks and Jeeps are officially open. Thanks to a partnership with the 4 Lakes 4 Wheelers Off-Road Vehicle Club from the Madison area and the Langlade County Forestry, Parks, and Recreation Department, riders can now explore 22 miles, including 7.1 miles of challenge trails ranging from extreme rock crawls to extremely challenging hills and ridges.  This purpose-built trail is located off Sherry Road in the Elton area.

Designed with environmentally sustainable practices, these trails offer something for every skill level — from easy routes to the most difficult sections with rock crawls.

ATV/UTVs are allowed on access trails (refer to OHMV map) with a normal DNR ATV/UTV registration sticker — no additional permits required!

All OHMV vehicles are required to have an annual permit, which costs $50 per year, and each operator must possess an operator permit, which costs $10 per year. Check out the Langlade County Forestry, Parks and Recreation website on where to obtain the permits.

Be sure to download the Langlade County OHMV Trails map to view the various trails with different difficulty levels, as well as trailheads, parking areas, and shared access trails.

Before you go, review the Langlade County Off Road Vehicle Rules and Requirements along with the Langlade County Off Road Vehicle Road and Trail Use Policy information located on the Langlade County Forestry, Parks, and Recreation Department website.
