59 miles round trip - This tour begins at Movrich Park located along the South Fork of the Flambeau River in downtown Fifield just south of Hwy 70 on Willow Ave. After leaving the park, take Hwy 70 about one mile east and turn south (right) on Hicks Landing Road, drive about two miles then turn left on Cranberry Marsh Dr. (gravel road) to view the marsh (Sept./Oct.), 715-762-4174. Continue to Hwy 70, turn right driving east, then just past the Wintergreen Trail Parking area look to the north (left) and you will see the historic Fifield Fire Tower. Continue to Forest Rd 148/Smith Rapids Rd/Rustic Road #105 (gravel) where you turn north (left) to the Smith Rapids Covered Bridge. Continue north and then turn east (right) on Forest Rd 144 (gravel), traveling through the scenic beauty of the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest where you will find the Round Lake Logging Dam. Continue south on Forest Rd 144 to Hwy. 70, then turn west (right) and return to Fifield where you can visit the Old Town Hall Museum, Greenfield School, and the Fifield Post Office which is on the National Register of Historic Places.
