About Three Springs Nature Preserve
Enjoy discovering the wonders of nature found here! This is one of 14 featured Door County Land Trust nature preserves that showcase the scenic beauty and natural diversity that make Door County so special. Nature preserves are open to the public at no charge for hiking, skiing, photography, nature study and other low-impact, non-motorized activities.
Trail winds through open fields and a mixed conifer forest and passes by old stone fences and the historic buildings of the Erickson homestead of the 1800s. Hike culminates at a viewing platform overlooking the springs. Scenic overlook is an ideal place for wildlife observation where sightings of sandhill cranes, herons, diving ducks and dragonflies are common.
