About Wisconsin Heritage Peony Garden
The Wisconsin Heritage Peony Garden at Rotary Riverwalk Park in Beaver Dam is a unique public garden celebrating Wisconsin’s rich legacy in peony hybridization and horticulture. Designated as one of only thirteen American Peony Society Reference Gardens in the United States by the American Peony Society, the garden showcases a stunning collection of peonies hybridized by Wisconsin growers and serves as both an educational and scenic destination. Visitors can stroll through vibrant blooms while learning about the state’s contributions to the peony world through thoughtfully labeled plantings and curated garden spaces.
Located along Beaver Dam’s scenic riverwalk, the garden offers a beautiful seasonal experience for visitors, photographers and flower enthusiasts alike. The best time to visit is typically from late May through the second weekend in June, weather depending. The Wisconsin Heritage Peony Garden is free and open to the public, providing a peaceful and colorful attraction in the heart of Beaver Dam.
